SISAT gets Technological Support from Konsento

The Swiss Investment Syndicate Agreement Template (SISAT) initiative, led by Matthieu Gueissaz, and Konsento, a Swiss Startup offering an Investor Relations platform for non-listed companies, are partnering for the benefit of the Swiss investor community.

The SISAT initiative, which is backed by a multitude of key players of venture capital in Switzerland, gets technological support from Konsento’s platform to enable easy and fast creation of Co-Investment Syndicates and the legally compliant management of their life cycle. Furthermore the syndicates’ target companies benefit from Konsento's proven digital investor relation services.

The SISAT allows startups and non-professional investors to pool investments, using an open-source simple partnership contract. The advantage for investors is that they can participate in any deal where the minimum ticket size is too high for them to individually invest directly, and for the startup to onboard more business angel investors without clustering their cap-table.

The partnership between SISAT and Konsento reinforces these benefits by providing the lead partner with a digital toolbox to quickly and easily set up the co-investment syndicate and organise its tasks towards the co-partners and the startup. This includes setting up and signing the SISAT contract, maintaining the ledger with the shares of each partner, sharing news and updates on the development of the target company, centrally archiving documents of the syndicate and organising and conducting partner assemblies to collect the votes for the general assembly of the startup. The Konsento platform gives the lead partner and all co-partners of the syndicate access to this information.

“SISAT’s partnership with the sophisticated investment management technology platform Konsento allows us to automate the syndication process, thereby making Swiss venture investment even more simple and accessible”, explains Matthieu Gueissaz.

Dominik Witz, Co-Founder of Konsento, adds: "We are convinced to add value to co-investment syndicates through our proven expertise in investor relations management for startups alike."

Thus, an easy end-to-end digital process from syndication of the co-investment to voting on co-investment-related decisions can be offered all on one platform. Konsento offers these basic services as part of a freemium model, making the new service extremely cost-effective. Therefore, it is even possible to set up and run a co-investment syndicate for free.

Konsento and the SISAT initiative have agreed to work also in the future closely together to improve financing opportunities for start-ups and more established companies in Switzerland, and thus contributing to improving the ecosystem for Swiss venture capital.

About SISAT

The Investment Syndicate Agreement Template (SISAT) is an initiative lead by Business Angels Switzerland (BAS) with the support of Alexander Wellinger, Notar, Blockchain Valley Ventures (BVV), Bratschi, Business to Venture (BtoV), DIventures, GoBeyond, Impact 51, Investiere, Kellerhals Carrard, LEAX Avocats, Peyrot Schlegel Györffy Rechtsanwälte, Schellenberg Wittmer and the Swiss ICT Investor Club (SICTIC). The SISAT aims to be the Swiss standard template agreement to syndicate investments by angel investors investing small amounts in a start-up company. By allowing up to 20 investors to appear as a single-ticket investment, using the SISAT provides investors access to deals where the minimum ticket surpasses their individual desired investment amount.
